‘Such incidents are intolerable and very shameful’.
Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders and activists on Friday staged a protest demonstration in Hyderpora Srinagar and Mohammad Yousef Naqash, Hakim Abdul Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, Bashir Irfani, Nisar Hussain Rather, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Sayed Mohammad Shafi, Imran Ahmad Bhat and scores other activists protested against continuous incidents of braid chopping and assault on dignity of women. While as similar protest was organized by Omer Adil Dar at Tral against unending braid chopping incidents.
Speaking on the occasion Mohammad Yusuf Naqash while lashing at authorities said that such incidents are intolerable and very shameful. Strongly criticizing police authorities for their incompetence, Naqash said that they don’t miss any chance while arresting resistance leaders, however are still clueless about these criminals.
Meanwhile Hurriyat spokesman said that the executive council meeting of APHC which was scheduled on Saturday is differed due to the 21 October strike call given by the JRL and will be held in Hyderpora on Sunday, October 22 at 10 am.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat spokesperson in a statement strongly condemned the continuous house detention of Syed Ali Geelani and said that authorities again barred him from offering Friday prayers, saying it tantamount to interference in religious matters. It is to mention here that the veteran leader continuously remained house arrested for last 7 years.
Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep grief over the demise of Saif u Din Saifi ( Sopor) and while extending his condolences with grieved family, said that during services he was my close colleague and he was a very good and righteous person.
