Expresses serious concern over the uncertainty in Valley.
Lashing out at PDP BJP Ruling Dispensation led by Mehbooba Mufti for miserably failing to create peaceful atmosphere in the valley. Congress today expressed serious concern over the rising incidents of Braid Chopping. The party also expressed serious concern over the lack of development saying that developmental scenario has come to a standstill. The Delegates convention was presided over by J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G. A Mir and attended by Senior Leaders and Party Delegates.
The Delegates Convention strongly condemned the braid chopping by unidentified persons in the valley saying that braid chopping is an attack on the modesty of the women, which will not be tolerated. The modesty of the women are being compromised under PDP BJP dispensation that too when a women Chief Minister is heading the Govt. Addressing the Party Delegates Mr. G. A. Mir urged upon the rank and file of the Party to remain vigilant and defeat the designs of anti-peace elements involved in braid chopping incidents aiming to create fear psychosis among the people. The State Govt as the State Govt led by Mehbooba Mufti has even failed ascertain the identity of culprits, which is highly condemnable. This Govt is not people friendly, as a result, it is not concerned about the prestige and security of the people especially women.
He said Mehbooba Mufti being herself a women is not feeling the pain of Braid chopping victims, what would you people expect from her now, It is evident that State Govt is not serious about the wellbeing of the people, rather it is adding chaos to the situation. Referring to the developmental scenario of the State, G. A. Mir said that PDP BJP dispensation has stopped all the projects started by previous Govt some of them that that were near completion have been stopped under the garb of shortage of funds, but new projects are being started just to demonstrate that Govt is serious on developmental front thereby causing huge losses to Govt Exchequer, G. A. Mir said. Quoting an example , G. A. Mir said Dooru that the construction of Model hospital which has been completed is not being made functional merely on political reasons, but the inauguration of new projects by Chief Minister and her cabinet colleagues is a continue process, which is not less than a cruel joke.
Adding that works on some bridges and roads connecting people with other areas have also been stopped without caring about the hardships confronting people, as a result, people have to undergo multiple problems, what is the logic behind starting new projects he questioned. the works on old projects whether these are bridges or roads at different places were stopped just to settle political scores. Referring to the current uncertainty in the valley, G. A. Mir emphasized that people themselves should contribute to developmental process and safeguard their esteem, because this Govt has crossed all limits of failures and discrimination against the people not only in Kashmir, but in Jammu and Ladakh divisions also. He urged upon the Part cadres to remain steadfast in service of the people, for the fact, people in the entire state have been left at the Mercy of God in all respects, as that Govt is nowhere visible on the ground.
