Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks over incident unacceptable: spokesman
Seeking a time bound impartial probe into the death of Mohammad Ayoob Pandith, a police officer allegedly killed by a mob in Nowhatta area, Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) has accused Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of crossing her domain by using provoking remarks.
In a statement issued today party spokesman Inam-u-Nabi said “The circumstances which lead to the death of police officer are it-self controversial and suspicious, as how it is possible that an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent could roam free without any security guards, in one of the most volatile areas during the dark night. Police has to either admit conspiracy or negligence in the tragic incident.
Kashmiris are tired with condolences and condemnations and it is New Delhi which is directly or indirectly facilitating every killing”. Spokesman said that Mehbooba Mufti must explain what did she mean by saying that anything can happen if cops run out of patience and added that Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks are as worst as those of Bepin Rawat, who had labeled every Kashmiri as OGW of militants.
Spokesman also condemned those trying to drag Mirwaiz Omer Farooq into the controversy and added that how is Mirwaiz responsible for something while he was in the mosque and if police force couldn’t save their officer what Mir Waiz has to do with the tragic incident.
