Minister convenes Public Durbar to redress people’s grievances.

Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Choudhary Lal Singh today said the pro-people policies of the Government have started bearing the fruit with an era of development taking off across the State.

The Minister was addressing a public durbar convened at his Gandhi Nagar residence here.

A large number of people from different parts of the State including those from Basohli constituency attended the public Durbar.

“People must come with their grievances but they should at the same time make the government functionaries aware about the quality of works being executed on the ground,” he said.  “People can play a very critical role in shaping an era of development in the State,” he said. He also urged people to avail the benefit of developmental and other schemes and try to help the government in bringing peace and prosperity to the State.

The people, coming from various areas of the Jammu region took up their grievances related to their day to day life as well as regarding some pending and important works lying unattended in different departments. Lal Singh gave patient hearing to them and issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officials present during the durbar to immediately resolve the issues brought to his notice. He assured the people that the coalition government is committed for rooting out corruption and provide good governance and the same is visible by the working of the government. ”

Singh said holding of public durbar would continue and hoped that people would get benefited by the activity.
