‘Condition stable, people appealed to pray for ailing leader’

Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was Wednesday night shifted to Medical Institute Srinagar (SKIMS), after he complained severe chest pain.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) said that ailing leader is now stable & feeling better. Hurriyat appealed people to pray for his speedy recovery.
Hurriyat spokesman, Ayaz Akbar today in a statement said that late Wednesday night, Syed Ali Geelani complained massive chest congestion and pain & was immediately rushed to SKIMS Soura, where several tests including ECG were repeatedly conducted. He was later admitted in medical ICU and continues to be under constant monitoring by specialists.
Spokesman said that respiratory system is being closely watched by doctors & doctors attending him suggested few investigations which were later found satisfactory.
Spokesman said that High Commission of Pakistan in Delhi and thousands from all corners of world called on phone and inquired about his condition.
Meanwhile Hurriyat conference thanked all those who wished him a speedy recovery. Spokesman while referring to expert opinion said there is nothing to worry as Syed Ali Geelani is doing well & in morning after taking breakfast watched local dailies. A spokesperson of Hurriyat in its appeal to people asked to avoid visiting hospital and requested to pray for his speedy recovery. (KNS)
