Minister of State for Transport, Sunil Kumar Sharma today informed the House about the status of work on various PMGSY roads being executed in Bhaderwah area.
The Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice given by Naresh Kumar Gupta in the Legislative Council.
The Minister informed that the work for protection and cross-drainage facilities on the road between Beru Basti to Dugli is in progress and the same will be made fully operational for all weather conditions after completion of Stage-II, he added.
The Minister said on Bhalra to Gurekha road, 68 percent work has been completed with protection and cross drainage works. The work for second stage will be tendered after completion of first stage and regular removal of slips and slides are being undertaken, he added.
Stage II of Sarthingle to Katyara road is in progress with complete laying of base course for entire length of 6 kms and blacktopping upto 3 kms. Remaining work will be taken up after winter season, the Minister said.
The Minister informed that works are being undertaken on Seri to Chattra road at an estimated cost of Rs 331.25 lakh in stage I which has registered 95 percent completion of work. The road shall be operational for all weather after completion of stage II for which tendering is being undertaken.
34.50 km long Kahara to Jai road is being undertaken by R&B Department at an estimated cost of 2078 lakh under Central Road Fund and macadamization work has been allotted to the contractor which is likely to be completed by June 2017, the Minister stated.
PMGSY road from Halraran to Joura Khurd has been sanctioned at an estimated cost of Rs 983.55 lakh, whereas, road from Joura Khurd to Shamdalian worth Rs 297.29 lakh stands allotted and work is expected to be started soon.
Rs 1250.35 lakh are sanctioned under PMGSY for Bhella to Gosti road and protection, cross drainage works are being also undertaken. DPR for stage II of NH-1B to Snowrthawa road has been made and will be submitted to Ministry of Rural Development GOI, the Minister said.
The Minster further informed that Bhalla to Dhalla road has received sanction for stage II at an estimated cost of Rs 310.48 lakh.
Every effort is being made to properly maintain the PMGSY roads in the state by way of removal of slips and slides occurring from time to time.
