In a fearless attempt, the house of a senior police officer was burgled. The incident took place in Paloura, Jammu, reports a local daily.
According the reports, DSP Dev Raj stationed in the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) was away with his family on an outing. Upon returning, they discovered that the locks were open already. The household articles had been rummaged and the wardrobe left open. Thankfully, the safe had not been compromised and the jewellery was secure.
But the robbers were successful in stealing 3000/- worth of cash. A case was registered following this event. (PTK)
