When asked about this unique way SDPO Handwara Shabir Khan said ” There are two things one is Law enforcement and second is Policing.Challenging is a tool of law enforcement where it is more reactionary in nature.I mean u break the law and we punish u with a challan. The second is Policing where you are less reactive but more pro active, more people oriented. This proactive approach has a long effect on the minds.Today it was a small step towards community oriented Police service(COPS). In near future we are having more programs under COPS. Directions given by worthy DGP and SSP Handwara Sh Gulam Jeelani in particular would be implemented for more Pro People policing.”
Overall the people of the area has appreciated the unique and impressive way of Police here.
