Stresses on strict adherence to timelines
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal chaired a meeting to review the progress on Mega projects in Jammu Division, here today.
Dr. Kotwal took a detailed review of progress of various vital projects including multilevel parking bus stand, Legislative Complex, Development of Tawi River Front, Conservation/ Restoration of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Sewerage Project, Water Supply to Jammu from river Chenab, Jammu Ropeway Project, Bikram Chowk flyover, Expansion of Jammu Airport, Jammu Ring Road, Four laning of Jammu-Akhnoor Road, Parking at Panjtirthi and Parking at City Chowk.
Stressing the need to ensure strict adherence to the fixed timelines for completion of the projects, Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned departments to gear up their men and machinery for expeditious completion of these prestigious projects.
The Divisional Commissioner issued strict instructions to the concerned officers to take immediate requisite measures so that work for restoration of 4th bridge on Tawi is expedited as the same is affecting the pace of other ongoing developmental works in the area.
He further directed the departments to ensure thorough ground work before planning, implementing projects for their successful execution and timely completion with minimum inconvenience to the general public.
He directed JMC to expedite work on Solid waste Management works and took appraisal regarding the status of Model slaughter houses.
The meeting among others was attended by Chief Engineer PHE, Sushil Aima, ADDC Anuradha Gupta, DIG Ashkoor Ahmad Wani, Director Animal Husbandry Dr S K Abrol, Director ERA R K Raina and project Manager Jammu Ropeway Noor-ul-Hussain. (PTK)
