‘Burning schools handiwork of agencies to defame our movement’
Hurriyat Conference JK today condemned the torching of schools by unknown elements and termed it as handiwork of some mischievous elements.
In a statement issued here, Hurriyat JK leaders Shabir Ahmad Dar, Iqbal Mir, Imtiyaz Reshi, Ahsan Untoo and Gh Nabi War said those involved in burning of schools are not freedom lovers.
They said schools are our properties and belong to public.
“There is every apprehension that some agencies are hell bent to malign our movement. In order to destroy the realties they have been assigned to burn schools and educational institutions so that attention from movement is diverted,” they said.
They said very soon these “anti movement and anti Kashmir elements will be exposed.
The amalgam appealed people to remain vigilant over such miscreants.
They also condemned human rights violations, arrest spree and said if government of India wants peace in valley it should put end to ongoing blood-shed.
