‘Raising Autonomy slogan a planned move to weaken resistance movement’
Hitting right, left and center at National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid today asked Abdullah to stop batting for New Delhi and asked him to understand that Kashmiris will not accept anything that dilutes their very strong universally accepted case.
While interacting with people at more in Kupwara, Rashid said that Farooq Abdullah’s revelation that he is worried about India’s integrity, exposes the fact that NC wants center to give Kashmiris a lolly pop so that their indigenous movement losses momentum.
He said if Farooq Abdullah and has colleagues truly see autonomy as a resolution to the dispute, may they answer what was their reaction when then central Government rejected the autonomy resolution passed by J&K Assembly.
“The least Farooq Abdullah could have done would have been to resign and also call back Omar Abdullah from then NDA Government of which he was a Minister. Now crying and talking about autonomy is nothing but to make Kashmiris believe that achieving right to self-determination is impossible and also a move to demoralize hurriyat leadership,” he said.
He said by making autonomy a debate Farooq Abdullah wants to dilute the issue and blaming PDP for all what is happening in J&K is nothing but a move to create confusion about the real issues, besides sending Delhi signals that NC would curb the resistance voices better than PDP. (PTK)
