The Spokes person Syed Nayeem Hamdani said that Jammu and Kashmir NGO’S coordination committee organized the meeting under the Chairmanship of Bashir Irfan and General Secretary Bashir Ahmad Malla, the meeting commenced with the recitation of Quran, in the meeting all the board members and volunteers took part, the meeting took place at head quarter in Alamgari Bazar at 2 p.m. In the meeting all the matters regarding the coordination committee were discussed and the work done during the Muharram processions especially on the day of Ashura. The NGO’s who work in the coordination committe are as follows:
1- J & K People’s Development Trust and Medical Aid.
2- J & K Youth Hussainee Red Cross Society and Blood Bank.
3- J & K Mohammadiya Blood Bank.
4- J & K Hussainee Relief Trust & Alamdar Blood Bank.
5- J & K Senior Hussainee Relief Committee.
6- J & K Mehdi Relief Trust and Blood Bank.
7- J & K Nation’s Welfare Trust.
8- J & K Ashan Mankind Balhama.
9- J & K Ahlebaiti Tahereen a.s Charitable Trust.
10- J & Khatumulambiya Blood Bank.
11- J & K Hussainee Welfare Trust.
12- J & K Ali Asgar Care Foundation.
13- J & K Human Aid Organization.
Presidents of different districts were also present, who thanked the committee for providing them with adequate supply of first aid, medicines and support during the unrest. They said it would not have been possible without the support of committee, in this turmoil.
The coordination committe of different NGO’S said that for such festivals and functions, cooperation is the vital thing to remember, we all worked together to make it a success, furthermore, the chairman and general secretary of the coordinating committe said that we should not forget to praise the government medical department who completely gave their full fledged support to us in this time of need, with their support it would not have been possible to deal with the processions and Azadars.
The board members of the NGO’S coordination committe, thanked the Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar and especially Block Medical Officer, Zadibal Zone, Doctor Asma, for her outstanding support and help, as she did not left any stone unturned to provide the committee with all adequate supplies of medicines and first aid, she remained present in the office day and night to take care and monitored all the situation for the smooth functioning of the government medical staff, during Muharram days. Again the chairperson and general secretary of the coordinating committe, thanked the Doctor Asma and her medical team for such immense support, they said that NGO’S and Government Medical Staff worked like a family together and with one another’s support made it possible to accomplish their assignments smoothly.
The Jammu and Kashmir NGO’s Coordination Committee immensely thanked the S.P Hazratbal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Zadibal S.H.O Zadibal and Lal Bazar for their overwhelming support in helping and supporting in taking the procession out.
The people of the Zadibal constituency and Jammu and Kashmir NGO’s Coordination Committee, both Shia and Sunni, together have praised the outstanding work, support and help given rendered by the S.P HAZRATBAL, Jammu and Kashmir NGO’s Coordination Committee has said that it would not have been possible to take the processions out from 1st Muharram to 12th Muharram without the support of SHO’s especially S.P HAZRATBAL and DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE who took the responsibility of taking out the processions on his shoulders and made it possible.
The people and Jammu and Kashmir NGO’s Coordination Committee again thanked the S.P HAZRATBAL and DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE for giving security to the processions, and under his supervision and monitoring, no untoward incident occurred or happened and all processions were kept peaceful.
Furthermore, in the Majalises the people prayed for their health, faith, and long life. The Jammu and Kashmir NGO’S coordination committe that is constituted of 13 NGO’S, names mentioned above, have again thanked the police concerned SHO’s of Zadibal and Lal Bazar and especially the S.P HAZRATBAL and DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE without their immense support it would not have been possible to take the processions out.
As per the sources, the higher authorities of police department did not allow the processions to be taken out, but the S.P HAZRATBAL after talking the responsibility on his shoulders, the higher authorities allowed for the same. Even the civil society thanked the police department for maintaining the peace and harmony among the people in such unrest situation during muharram days.
Lastly, the light was thrown on the life and martyrdom of Imam Hussain a.s and his sayings.
