State BJP today organised the party workers convention here where all the 10 district presidents of Kashmir valley spoke about the prevailing situation and the challenges faced by the BJP workers.
BJP president of Shopian district Javid Ahmed said, “Not militants, the local government and opposition parties are a threat to us. Opposition has a main role in this unrest they don’t want normalcy they want bloodshed to continue,” he said.
Another district president of BJP said, “I got 3600 vote for party but right now no one is with me reason is this that party never listens to our problems”.
All the district presidents give their suggestions about the strengthening of the party.
One of the worker said, “Our own ministers don’t listen to us. What do we expect from others? If BJP ministers won’t listen to our problems, who will then? If party doesn’t need our support, they should clearly say about it,” he said.
BJP district president of Bandipora said that Police even registered FIRs against the workers of BJP. “I paid Rs 33,000 to bail out my son. He was framed for being a BJP worker,” he said.
Later, BJP State President Sat Sharma said 2.5 to 3 lakh people have joined the BJP during these two years. He added that it is the big achievement for the party.
