“Several mortar shells landed near forward Indian army posts in Balnoi Sona Gali in which four soldiers of Mahar regiment were injured,” said a police source.
At least four soldiers of Indian army were wounded in heavy cross-border mortar shelling in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir late last evening, police said.
“Several mortar shells landed near forward Indian army posts in Balnoi Sona Gali in which four soldiers of Mahar regiment were injured,” said a police source.
Two injured soldiers were airlifted to Army Hospital Udhampur today morning while other two were sent to army hospital Rajouri.
India and Pakistan have been exchanging heavy gunfire and mortar fire along the LoC in several sectors from past many days.
