After a nightlong lull, India and Pakistan troops again exchanged firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports quoting defense sources said that the Pakistan army resorted to heavy shelling at Indian positions on the LoC in Rajouri district.
They said the Pakistan army used mortars and automatics to target Indian positions in Kalsian area of Nowshera sector.
Pakistanis are using mortar shells and automatics to target Indian positions. This is the 10th ceasefire violation by the Pakistan army on the LoC in 48 hours, reports quoting sources said adding a local journalist was injured after a shell exploded near him and he fell into a gorge. Shakti Sharma, was later shifted to a hospital.
They added that the Indian army was effectively retaliating using same calibre weapons.
