Terming the resolution of Kashmir issue as key to peace, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said that Kashmir is surrounded by three nuclear powers which can escalate the situation any time if concrete and practical steps to resolve the long pending dispute were not taken.
“As Kashmir is surrounded by three nuclear powers, India should leave its obduracy and jingoism and should take serious and concrete steps towards the resolution of Kashmir dispute,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said in a statement issued today.
He added, “We have seen three wars between India and Pakistan and faced the brunt and devastation, and the clouds of another war are seen clearly on the skies of south Asia so this is high time for world powers to intervene and stop New Delhi from its jingoistic approach.”
“Instead of war mongering, jingoism and rhetoric, India should behave as a responsible democracy and a responsible nuclear power,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said.
