Placing employees under suspension will have serious repercussions: Wani
EJAC today convened an emergency meeting chaired by its president Abdul Qayoom Wani. The session discussed that the employees are being pressurized, involved in fake cases and put behind the bars. Such practices are not tolerable under any circumstances.
Wani while addressing the session said that EJAC won’t hesitate in taking stringent steps to protect the honour and dignity of govt employees, said EJAC in a statement.
“The organization shall defend such employees who are involved in fake cases at organisational and legal levels so that the employees may not feel insecure,” he said.
Wani urged the government to put a curb to such practices and placing employees on suspension shall have serious repercussions.
He reiterated his stand forcefully that the use of Pellet guns should be completely banned and human rights violation should be stopped. “Innocent killings and harassing youth should be halted,” he said.
They strongly criticized the cold blooded murder of the students Nasir Shafi Qazi and Wasim Ahmad Lone of new Theed Harwan and Nadihal Baramulla, and urged the government to punish the involved forces stringently. Sympathies were extended with bereaved families.
The session strongly criticized arrest of renowned human rights activist Khurram Parvez and demanded his immediate release.
