Budgam police solved a murder case within two days by arresting a woman and her paramour, a statement said on Wednesday.
As per the police statement the brief facts of the case are that Ghulam Mohammad Mir son of Jaffar Mir resident of Village Hil-Mission Budgam was reportedly missing from 18-09-2016 and in this behalf, a missing report was lodged in Police Station Budgam on 19-09-2016. Consequently, all possible efforts were made through a team of Police officers to trace out the missing person and to ascertain the actual facts of the case. Subsequently, wife of the missing person namely Fatima was questioned who confessed that she after hatching a conspiracy with her paramour namely Ghulam Rasool Parra son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Parra resident of Hil-Mission killed her husband, the missing person.
As per police following this, a case under FIR No. 293/2016 U/S 364 RPC was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion. During the course of investigation, dead body of the deceased, weapon of offence i.e. “axe” was recovered at the instance of the accused. Dead body of the deceased after conducting postmortem and codal formalities was handed-over to the legal heirs for last rites. Subsequently offence under section 302, 34, 120-B RPC has been added in the instant case. The wife of the deceased and her paramour have been into custody.
