Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Army Chief General Dalbir Singh will visit the Kashmir Valley to take stock of the situation after the Uri militant attack during which 17 army men were killed on Sunday.
Sources said that defence minister and army chief will also meet the injured army men who are being treated at 92 base camp hospital in Srinagar.
Earlier, in the day 17 Indian Army soldiers were killed in an encounter with militants, who were all gunned down, at the Army Brigade headquarters in Uri.
As per defence sources a group of heavily armed militants targeted the rear administrative base of a unit at Uri, and in the counter action, four militants were killed.
