Says civilian killings in Kashmir unbearable
Jolting the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) again, the senior vice president of the party, Nisar Ahmad Mandoo on Sunday resigned and termed the civilian killings in Kashmir as unbearable.
Addressing a presser here at his residence at Chitrashahi, Mandoo who served the party from past 16 years said that he decided to resign from the party due to the current unrest during which more than 82 people were killed while thousands of civilians were maimed.
“I didn’t resign from the party to follow pursuit of MP Tariq Hameed Karra but took the decision after I failed to bare the pain over continuous civilian killings in Kashmir. I was not pressurized by anyone over taking such kind of decision,” he said.
Asking whether he would join any other party, Mandoo said that “no not at all. I won’t be joining any other party at this point of time.” (KNS)
