“Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India, was a part of India and will remain an integral part of India,” he said while maintaining that whole of India was pained at the loss of lives in Kashmir.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday dodged a question on whether the Centre was considering autonomy or self-rule proposals to end the ongoing uprising in Kashmir.
“Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India, was a part of India and will remain an integral part of India,” he said while maintaining that whole of India was pained at the loss of lives in Kashmir.
Addressing media in Srinagar, Singh said the all-party delegation met with over 300 people.
He also took a dig at the separatists for refusing to meet with the parliamentarian who had called on them yesterday.
“If someone goes to talk and they (separatists) don’t talk, then they clearly don’t believe in ‘insaniyat, Kashmiriyat, jamuriyat’,” said Singh.
On the use of pellet guns by paramilitary forces, Singh said the government has given an alternative to pellet guns – PAVA shells- within a period of two months.
