15 persons were injured and many arrested as government forces foiled a freedom rally at Drubgam, area of Pulwama district on Sunday.
Reportedly government forces vandalized the venue of a proposed rally and beat whosoever came in their way.
People came on streets to protests against what they called highhandedness of the men in uniform who were tear gassed. Pellets were also fired on them, they said adding this resulted in injuries to 15 persons.
Later, as per locals men in uniform went berserk and smashed window panes of residential houses and ransacked households. They also arrested many people from the area.
