Castigating the state authorities for letting loose the police and forces who are on job of carrying out mass arrests across the State, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) secretary general Moulana Abdullah Tari today said on one hand, the Valley has been turned into a slaughterhouse and on other side, people are continuously targeted.
In a statement issued, Tari said instead of acting against the police and forces involved in civilian killings, people are continuously targeted on various fronts.
“To arrest brother in lieu of brother and father in place of son during nocturnal raids is an ample proof that the so-called government has declared a war on the people of the State,” he said.
Tari said on one hand, the State’s so-called head is taking of healing the wounds of people and on other side has furthered its crackdown on the resistance camp. “This way, it has been proved that the diktats from New Delhi and Nagpur are being followed in letter and spirit even at the cost of launching a psychological war against the youth of this State,” he said.
Condemning the continuous house arrest of octogenarian leader of Hurriyat Confrence Syed Ali Geelani, continuous detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Peer Saifullah, and Ayaz Akbar, the DFP general secretary termed it the frustration of the so-called government. “We have been facing such situation from last 69 years and due to such coercive means, our resolve cannot be broken down,” he said.
Expressing concern over the deteriorating plight of youth in police stations and torture centers, Moulana Tari said innocent youth are arrested agar being dragged out from their homes and as such authorities are playing with their future.
Warning the State police, Tari asked them not to become part of the oppressors as they are part of the society.
He also reacted against the so-called authorities’ actions through agencies against the resistance camp saying this is being done according to a well planned manner. “They want to put every every pro-freedom person behind bars by implicating him into false cases but they must bear in mind that such suppressive tactics won’t succeed. We will face all challenges to take our movement to its logical end,” he added.
