Senior Hurriyat leader and President Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi Monday castigated government of India for ‘adding insult to injuries’ of Kashmiri people. He said that New Delhi is non-serious about Kashmir and it is only buying time and misleading international community about Kashmir.
In a statement, Aga Syed Hasan said that India should understand that it can’t break the resolve of people of Kashmir by force. “We have been seeking right to self-determination from past 70 years. India which claims to be the biggest democracy of the world is denying this right to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the same country is trampling the rights of people here,” he said and added that unbridled Indian forces are busy in ransacking houses, thrashing people and detaining youth.
He condemned the house arrest and detention of senior pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Aga Syed Hasan a delegation of Sunni and Shia citizens visited Wargam Budgam that had recently witnessed sectarian clashes. The delegation after a joint meeting appealed people to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood at this critical juncture.
