Chairman of Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday condemned the killing of a youth by forces in Pulwama. “State-terrorism is in full bloom in Kashmirfor the past 47 days, as the graph of violence against civilians is steadily rising and getting more and more sinister,” Mirwaiz said. Mirwaiz said “our eyes are moist and our hearts bleeding but the martyrdom of our young who are our future makes the resolve of each one of us more firm and our commitment to the freedom struggle unflinching.”
Referring to Government of India’s decision of sending more companies of forces to Kashmir “where lakhs of them are already present,” Mirwaiz said “to hold on to Kashmir they will not hesitate to wipe us off from the face of the earth.”
Condemning the use of excessive force and assault by forces on the peaceful protesters, he prayed for the early recovery of the people injured in the firing of bullets, pellets and tear gas shells by the forces.
