Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) senior vice-president Mehmood Ahmad Sagar today while condemning the reign of oppression and terror unleashed upon Kashmiris by India and its collaborators said to suppress the pro-freedom sentiments of the people of Jammu Kashmir is impossible for New Delhi.
In a statement issued to PTK, Sagar said history is witness to the fact that use of suppressive measures to curb the genuine voices and pro-freedom sentiments of people has not only failed but has given a new impetus to the people’s will and resolve to fight for their rights.
Sagar said Jammu Kashmir is the only territory in the world where there is a one soldier for every 15 people (for terrorising). He termed the statement of the State’s puppet chief minister as “frustration” saying if only 5 percent people “disturb” the situation, then “what is the need of stationing forces in nook and corner of the Valley including in schools and offices, and booking thousands of people under AFSPA”.
Sagar urged the “justice-loving” nations and organisations of the world to “ponder how much human rights violations would be taking place in this world’s largest militarised territory”.
Expressing strong resentment over puppet J&K government’s decision of calling further troops from other Indian states, the DFP vice-president said those who used to raise slogans of “Goli Ke Badle Boli (No Bullets But Talks)” turned out to be only power-hungry and should be bear in mind that their fortunes are falling.
Mehmood Sagar said India and its collaborators must read writing on the wall that coercive methods won’t help them and instead they should accept the ground realities and give people of Jammu Kashmir their right to decide their political future.
Mehmood Sagar appealed the UN, EU, OIC, and world leaders to “take cognisance of the grave situation in Jammu Kashmir where people demand Azadi from Indian occupational rule”.
“The world bodies must act at the earliest over Kashmir lest it becomes too late as the dispute can trigger war in subcontinent anytime. We demand resolving this issue as were resolved the disputes of South Sudan and Croatia,” Sagar said.
