The government imposed severe curfew in Srinagar downtown after the killing of an 18-year-old Irfan Ahmad by a tear gas shell fired by Police and paramilitary forces during clashes on 21 August 2016 evening. People also staged massive protests across downtown and many areas of Pulwama like Kakapora, Pahoo, Wagum, Gudroo in south Kashmir to protest the killings. At least 79 persons have been killed during the past one and a half month, summer unrest across Indian Kashmir.
All business establishments, government offices, schools are shut from the aftermath of Burhan Wani, no respite from then, no day without killings, oppressions, atrocities, afflictions, just blame game is on its pinnacle. No solution only problems, only debates on different TV channels but with no positive results. The politicians cannot cater the solution but give rise to more profitable problems. All work on their rights to be reserved and leaving aside the agenda of people and their rights. Day by day situation is worsening not improving, the Kashmiri people have been made football, whosoever, comes kicks the ball from wherever he likes and passes on.
The credibility of Kashmiri is lost, no respect is given to the people of Kashmir, they are treated as refugees in their own motherland, ruled by outsiders, imperialism has engulfed all the state, the India is playing the same politics that British used to play with them.
All machinery has come to stand still, oiling and greazing is to be done to clean the rust accumulated on the minds of leaders and intellectual of both sides, nobody is ready to bow down to other, pesstitute plays it’s role openly with no fear. All political leaders, separatists wait for, who will bell the cat, and nobody wants to take this crucial juncture on their own shoulders or responsibility of any sought that can end and sabotage the movement.
79 people of different age groups, died in last one and a half month, still no luck or way is seen, for healing touch that can reduce the tension, anger, killing and hatred of people against government.
I rebut, as if government is been run by separatists and not by state or centre government. People are seen obeying the calls of separatists, and not of Mr. Nayeem Akhter, as he repeatedly requested the children and teachers to attend the schools but his requests were not ascertained but denied. Who is in control of the situation cannot be said, how long crises would go on, and upto what extent, yesterday Mr. Geelani in his statement told the people to be ready for more harsh days, because this movement will go on and would not stop till any resolution or favourable decision will be taken by Indian government in the favour of people of Kashmir.
This time as I am reading, from newspapers all civil society is ready to sacrifice whatever they can, but wants one time solution of Kashmir, they said, they don’t want daily strikes, killings, fear, agony, pain but want one time settlement of Kashmir. Now the time of business, tourism has come to an end, we have jumped in the field for complete solution and not for incomplete one.
So, if politicians of state and central government will take this turmoil seriously without any more killings, they must start dialogue with all stakeholders and separatists to find an amicable solution to this pivotal political issue.
