Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) J&K on Thursday said that “barbaric and inhuman” methods are being used to “curb the on-going peaceful movement”.
“Indian forces are bent upon terrorizing people and for that purpose raiding different areas throughout the valley during the night hours and ransacking the houses and damaging the property of the common masses at random and apprehending innocent people indiscriminately without any cause or justification,’ a statement issued by JeI said, “during such a nocturnal raid at Sharshali Khrew in Pampore tehsil, a number of houses were ransacked by Indian forces and inmates beaten ruthlessly injuring about sixty innocent persons.”
The statement said that a contractual lecturer Shabir Ahmad Mongu, s/o Wali Muhammad Mongu, aged 30 years, after being mercilessly beaten by army personnel was taken away amongst others at about 11 pm and then his relatives got information from the police station concerned to get his dead body at 1 AM.
Shabir’s brother too was physically tortured and got critically injured and is now under treatment at SMHS hospital along with other seriously injured youth.
“Indian forces are utilizing barbaric and most inhumane methods to curb the on-going peaceful public protests against the state atrocities and for the cherished Right of Self Determination and this attitude depicts the Indian policy of genocide of Kashmiri Muslims,” the statement added.
Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir while strongly condemning “barbarism and atrocities committed by Indian forces” upon the hapless and innocent civilians in Kashmir, asked the UNO, OIC, Amnesty International and other world human bodies to come forward and try to save Kashmiris from annihilation and support their just cause.
