Says we want India to fulfill its promise of Plebiscite in J&K
Senior Hurriyat (G) Sikh leader Advocate Devinder Singh today while paying rich tributes to those people who lost their lives in the ongoing unrest said the sacrifices of these people won’t go in vain.
In a statement issued by Hurriyat here, Singh said that government is following the ‘Catch and Kill’ policies against the innocent youths of Kashmir.
He said that government forces are so embolden that they even kill the people sitting in their homes.
“Every citizen has the democratic right to raise his voices and concern against the anti-people policies but the New Delhi has chocked all democratic ways and principles here in Jammu & Kashmir which is further worsening the situations here,” he said.
Devinder Singh also extended the message of sympathy from Chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani to the bereaved.
He said that in the message Geelani had said that “I personally feel the pain of the parents of the Martyred children”.
On the occasion, Singh said that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are just demanding the fulfillment of those promises which the Indian leadership including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had made with the people of this state on national and international levels. “It is a genuine and simple demand of the Kashmiri people which should be fulfilled without wasting any more time.”
Singh also appreciated the role of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir in the ongoing freedom struggle and said that our nation have to face the Indian aggression with united face and we should not allow the agencies to play any game at this crucial juncture.
He was accompanied by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leaders Mohammad Sayed, Ranjit Singh and Karpel Singh.
