A woman, Shazia Begum from Koti village of district Doda gave birth to triplets, trio girls, at the District Hospital here yesterday.
Sources in the hospital said Shazia Begum, of village Koti of district Doda, gave birth to three babies at the district hospital Doda.
According to Dr Madhu Chib, gynaecologist, the condition of the woman and her babies was stable. Dr Chib said, “She was admitted to the hospital in critical condition for the past two days and last after noon (on Thursday) when she felt labour pain, she was immediately shifted to the operation theatre.”
“This has happened after a long gap that a woman gave birth to triplets that too normally. All babies and mother are healthy and are under treatment in the hospital,” Dr Madhu Chib said.
Shazia Begum’s husband is highly thankful to the team of dedicated doctors, led by Dr Madhu Chib who operated upon the woman.
Hundreds of people were seen visiting the hospital to see the triplets.
Shazia’s husband said, “I am not worried about their (babies’) future as the Central and state governments have already started various schemes for the girl. The Almighty has given them birth. He will think about their future.”
