The reality of PoK is no different from IoK, the sufferings and torture the people of POK are going through is the same as their brothers and sister in IoK are going through.
Salute to Baba Jan, a devoted comrade from Gilgit Baltistan, who was put into prison by the pro Pakistani government in Gilgit-Baltistan, merely for some money that was put into their pockets. The wrong that he committed was asking for the rights of the affected people of Attabad Lake. He demanded their welfare and prosperity. These are some of the hurdles and difficulties faced by Kashmiri nationalists. However the people of PoK are as solid and stern as ever. These hurdles cannot do anything wrong to their mission and commitment.
The Pakistani government and agencies have tried to oppress and depress these nationalists by every possible way. But as evident from Newton’s 3rd law, every action has a reaction. So this reactive force has magnified the nationalism many folds and the efforts of nationalists resulted in increase in patriotism in Kashmiris.
For the IoK, the support that Pakistan is Showing is to lure the people so that they may join Pakistan after the plebiscite, but the truth is something else, if if the people of IoK will choose Pakistan after getting freedom from India, it will be to come out of one hell and enter into another.
In fact, Pakistan is not sincere when it says that it respects the resolutions of UN. If it were so, Pakistan would have been ready to conducted a plebiscite in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir, in the presence of International media and UN officials, thereby giving the Kashmiris a right either to join India, Pakistan or remain independent, this could in return put pressure on India too to devise a same strategy for Indian Occupied Kashmir.
But the fact is that neither India nor Pakistan are sincere towards kashmiris. Under such conditions, our responsibilities as nationalists increase. We need to educate Kashmiris on both sides regarding their rights, induce in them a sense to see the truth and motivate them towards freedom of Kashmir. We should join hands for demanding the release of comrade Baba Jan and his companions.
