AIP Delegation meets civil society and people of different walks in New-Delhi
As a part of its campaign to apprise the civil society, journalists, intellectuals and writers besides human rights activists of India, about continued worst human rights violations and state terrorism in Kashmir, AIP delegation which included besides MLA Langate Er Rashid , Zeeshan Pandit, Tanveer Hussain Khan, Inam Un Nabi, Syed Aijaz Kashani and Adv Ubaid held deliberations with various individuals and organisations. Those whom delegation met including renowned Political and Social leader Yogender Yadav, Human Rights activist Gautam Navlakha, Supreme Court Lawyer Vrinda Grover, prominent columnist Harash Mandar, social activist Shabnum Hashmi, Prominent Christian leader and human rights activist Jhon Diyal and many others. Delegation appealed them to come forward and stop Kashmir from bleeding and added that the only way to get peace is to resolve Kashmir through plebiscite. AIP delegation gave them the details that how worst Indian State is behaving and telling just one side of the story by misusing its controlled and biased media. Delegation had a fruitful and threadbare discussion at a round table conference organised by renowned social and human rights organisation ANHAD.
The conference which lasted for three hours was attended by students, journalists, human rights activists, academicians and columnists besides social activists. Er Rashid gave a detailed presentation on account of damage caused due to the excessive force on unarmed Kashmiris and appealed the participants to help in awaking Indians that Kashmiris are being killed, blinded and tortured in the name of so called nationalism .
Er Rashid appealed participants to make understand the people of India, that they should ask Govt. of India to stop blaming and abusing Pakistan for its worst failures and atrocities in Kashmir and understand that what so ever Kashmiris are seeking is indigenous . Er Rashid added that demanding plebiscite or seeking resolution to Kashmir Issue, doesn’t give GoI a reason or logic to kill and blind Kashmiris and control them by an uninterrupted curfews. The participants expressed serious concern over the continuous killings, use of pellet guns and it was unanimously felt that the only way to get permanent peace in the region is to get Kashmir Issue resolved.
