Situation in South Kashmir Saturday turned intense as 5 youth have died and 17 others injured two of them seriously. Angry mobs have set ablaze two police stations in Achabal and Damhal Hanjipora and police post in Kund area of Qazigund.
A youth Khurshid Ahmad who sustained bullet injury in a firing incident in Kulgam yesterday has sccumbed to his injuries. “However, it is not clear yet as to who fired” he said.
One youth Adil Bashir was killed when police opened fire in Dooru area of Anantnag district. People had gathered in large numbers and they clashed with police. One Amir Ahmed of Kulgam and Showkat Rather of Bijbehara sustained critical injuries when police opened fire on protesters. Fifteen people are reported to have been injured in clashes and tear smoke shelling in different parts of Kashmir.

Yawar Manzoor R/O Khandroo, Islamabad,
and Mohammad Asif R/O lalpora kokernag
Meanwhile protesters torched a police station in Achabal and in Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir after they attacked them. One police post was also attacked in Kund and has been put on fire. Situation is stated to be tense and out of control in South Kashmir.
