Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani called for complete state wide shutdown on 9 July (Saturday) against the killing of top Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant and his two associates.
“While paying glowing and rich tributes to the “Kashmiri brave heart” and Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani who attained “martyrdom” in a gunfight with the Indian armed forces along with two other members”, Geelani said in a statement issued.
Geelani appealed people to participate in his funeral prayers in large numbers and appealed the people to hold funeral prayers in-absentia for “Shaheed Burhan wani” at their respective places who could not reach Tral.
