Kashmir resolution imperative for peace in South Asia

Jammu Kashmir Peoples league Chairman Mukhtar Wazaon Monday while chairing party meeting in Kulgam said that resolution of Kashmir issue is imperative for establishing long lasting peace in South Asia.

Addressing the meeting that was attended by party leaders and activists, Waza appealed United Nations to play effective role in resolving the conflict according to wishes and aspirations of people. He said that South Aisa-India and Pakistan were on verge to fight a fresh war which could prove disastrous for the whole south Asia as both of them are nuclear armed.

Waza said that without resolving Kashmir conflict, India and Pakistan can’t smooth their relations and cooperation.

He said that Kashmir was never a border dispute between Indo-Pak countries but was an issue of ‘right to self determination’ and future pertaining to 2.5 million Kashmiris.

Waza termed unity among the leadership for fighting RSS agenda, need for the hour.

Waza said that till Kashmir is completely demilitarized, no Confidence Building measure can prove fruitful. He underlined the importance of the demilitarization and asked people to show steadfastness and remain committed towards the movement.
