Islamabad: The people in this south Kashmir’s largest township today faced miseries and hardships as the administration was incompetent enough when it came to streamline traffic to ensure smooth movement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
The administration gave a blunt snub to commuters, thus plunging them into great inconvenience.
Irked over the VIP movement, people rued the inconvenience saying the administration should have chalked out proper traffic arrangements with subtle needful diversions.
“It is understood that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is privileged, but it should not hamper the smooth streaming of traffic, thus affecting the common people.
Administration should have, otherwise planned some arrangements to minimize inconvenience,” said Bashir Ahmad, a local.
He said that he was stuck in the traffic jam for more than 20 minutes.
“I saw first time in my life a Chief Minister of the state not only doing wrong parking in the main town, but also her cavalcade was moving in the wrong direction that left the poor people to suffer,” Nisar Ahmad, another local told.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti visited several areas in Anantnag and took stock of the problems faced by the people.
She gave on spot directions to the officers for solving different problems faced by the people.
