Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Navin K. Chaudhary on Wednesday reviewed Darbar Move arrangements in Srinagar.
Chaudhary visited residential colonies of Estates department at Pampore and Tulsi Bagh and took stock of the renovation and repair works in all the residential colonies. He also inspected renovation works at Civil Secretariat Srrinagar.
He directed the concerned departments to ensure that the renovation and repair work is completed well before opening up of annual Darbar besides facilities including potable water, power, ration etc are made available to the move emplyees.
He asked authorities of Estates departments to ensure that staff posted to address issues of electricity, water remains present in residential colonies and a complaint register and redressal mechanism is put in place so that employees do not face any inconvenience.
The Principal Secretary also inspected various works completed and the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the Estates Colonies in Pampore and Tulsi Bagh. He laid emphasis on maintaining hygiene, installation of garbage collecting containers besides proper sanitation in and around the civil Secretariat and residential colonies. He also directed the concerned to ensure adequate space for newly deployed security personnel in different colonies.
The officers of Estates Department informed, the Secretary that additional accommodation has been made available by the department for move employees at Pampore.
It was also given out that different teams shall also be deployed by the Estates Department at various colonies/Hotels to facilitate the move employees.
Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister also visited Civil Secretariat and took stock of the renovation works. He asked the officials to complete the works well before opening of the Move offices and asked them to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation facilites.
He directed the IT department to ensure that LAN/Internet connections in Srinagar Secretariat are fully functional well before the move offices reopen.
The Principal Secretary was accompanied by the Director Estates Dr G N Itoo, Deputy Director Estate Waseem Raja besides other officials.
