The Facebook post of Director School Education Kashmir, Shah Faesal that “I am Director of shut schools. I need a job” has evoked a debate on the social networking site.
Shah, a celebrated IAS officer, who topped the USPC Civil service examination in 2010, is in the news for the second time since this uprising began. His new post is indirectly related to the prevailing unrest in Kashmir which has now entered into fourth month.
The uprising started on July 8, when famous militant commander Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter with government forces.
Earlier, during the beginning of the current uprising, Faesal was critical on some Indian TV channels for juxtaposing his pictures with Wani.
Now the new post that “I am Director of shut schools. I need a job”, has evoked a debate on Shah Faesal’s Facebook timeline.
The post has so far over 250 shares, over 1500 likes and hundreds of comments on the thread.
The nitizens on the Facebook reacted like this to the Director Education.
Journalist Gowhar Geelani in his comments in the thread writes: “I’m a prisoner in a cage called Kashmir. I need freedom.”
“Conversely, you’re a salaried jobless,” posts journalist Baba Umar.
A Facebook user and noted adventure tourism expert in J&K, Rauf Tramboo posts: “Very painful for all of us – you are not alone in melancholy – every walk of our life is a victim of circumstances and factors. Stay blessed.”
Javaid Trali, a Facebook user who is also a media analyst in J&K CM’s office posted: “I am being oppressed by my own people. I need a breathing space!”
Rameez Makhdoomi, another journalist writes: “We need end to war crimes of state that kill small children with pellets. We cannot drag body of school kid to School as his soul is bruised by blinding and dead class mates in state terror.”
Mohammad Ashraf, noted columnist of Kashmir posted like this in his comments: “You seem to have woken up very late! Whole Kashmir seems to have been detained under PSA including some of your school boys! So take rest for some more time.”
Ursila Tabasum, another Facebook user, writes: “You can be a doctor to the blinded, pellet -hit, physically disabled, mentally devastated, emotionally damaged students. Yes, you can!”
The schools on Kashmir valley continue to remain shut since July 8. As many as 91 people have been killed and over ten thousand injured in the clashes between protestors and government forces so far.
