Reacting sharply to Indian surgical strikes in Pakistani territory, Pakistan Defence Minister Khwaja Muhammed Asif today said Modi is trying to do in Kashmir what he had done in Gujarat.
Stressed that the matter of Kashmir is not going to stall now, Asif said their government will give all the support needed for the Kashmir independence movement. Adding, it will end in victory. He said Pakistan has tried to improve relations with both Afghanistan and India.
Highlighting that Pakistan’s policy is to respond and never initiate firing across the LoC, Asif said a six-hour long meeting took place between the civilian and military leadership. Pakistan needs to focus on defending its borders he added.
He said India is trying to present a cross border violation across the LoC as a surgical strike.
