A statement issued by Hurriyat Conference (m) said, “the resistance leaders condemned the indiscriminate firing by government forces on peaceful protestors in the length and breadth of valley resulting in 8 deaths so far and more than 150 injuries.”
The resistance leadership has jointly called for observing a complete shutdown on July 10 (Sunday) and July 11 (Monday) to protest civilian killings and the “naked aggression which has been unleashed by the state authorities”.
The leadership urged people to reach to their respective Masjids peacefully and raise slogans in protest of these killings by using the loudspeakers and public address systems.
Stressing that “sacrifices, martyrdoms, detentions and tortures were part and parcel of the resistance movements”, the resistance leadership said, “Kashmir’s resistance struggle is for a just cause and people should show all the more involvement and consistency in these difficult times.”
