KUPWARA, JAN 26: In connection with celebration of 69th Republic Day an impressive function begins with playing of Shahnaie Waddan at 9am by Information department Kupwara was organized by the District Administration Kupwara at District Police Lines Zangli, Kupwara to mark the day.
The Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Training’s, Science and Technology, Sajad Gani Lone was the Chief Guest at the function hoisted the National Flag(Tricolour) at DPL,Kupwara at 10.5 am as per the devised schedule ,followed by inspection of parades,takes salute at combined march past comprises on contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police,JK Armed Police, CRPF, IRP, F&ES, FPF, NCC , Brass bands of District Police and 3rd JK Life Infantry besides 8 school contingent’s.Speaking on the occasion the Minister said that we should respect the democratic system its institutions so that we may be able to help and resolve the issues of the people through democratic manner.He said that a huge developmental package of Rs.80,000 Crs have been have been initiated by the GOI to carry out the developmental activities,Rs 1000 Crs for Power generation projects under PMDP at Karnah, Mawar and Lolab are under the consideration at different levels to provide electricity within the district within 3 years.
According to our Correspondent Wasim Majnoon Mir, Lone said that state has achieved much in every sector, Rs.35 Crs have been proposed for establishment of Bio Tech Park for farming community at Handwara, besides 190 Kanals of land for Walnut Research Centre at Kulangam (Handwara), identification of Land for Ayush Hospital at Kupwara besides Fungus Valley is being connected through road connectivity to promote the Tourism sector. He seeks full cooperation from all sections of society for inclusive development.
“He said that to resolve the problems,issues confronting to women folk a help line was establish in Social Welfare Department to register different complaints for this purpose 181 help line has been started .”
