‘Govt, Police must aware people’
After maintaining silence over the growing incidents of mysterious braid chopping in Kashmir, the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said that the braid chopping incidents may be disorder.
“I think there would be no one behind the braid chopping incidents,” BJP’s State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul said over phone.
He also said that such incidents started from Bihar and took place in several other sates as well. “The braid chopping incidents are now going on in Kashmir. No braid chopper has been arrested in any state so far. I believe that this may be some disorder,” he said, adding that if there would be any one behind it then the government should brought culprits to the book.
Koul told that the people are not indulging in beating civilians presuming as braid chopper, which should be stopped. “The government as well as the Police should aware the people about such kind of activities so that the thrashing of civilians will be stopped,” he said.
Various braid chopping incidents have been reported in Kashmir so far.
The government as well as the state Police has also taken measures in this regard.
The Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to investigate the matter while the Police also set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter
The Police also announced a reward of Rs six lakhs to the person for giving credible information about the braid choppers. (KNS)
