Srinagar: Hundreds of Sumbal Sonawari residents in Bandipora district Tuesday benefitted from a free medical and Covid awareness camp organized by the BJP’s local unit in Hajin.
Mohd Iqbal Jan, Senior Vice President BJP and in-charge Sumbal Sonawari constituency was chief guest on the occasion.
Apart from medicines free of cost, hand santizers, PPE kits, hand gloves and iron tablets were distributed among people during the day long camp, according to a statement issued by Iqbal Jan.
On the occasion, Jan urged people to follow Covid appropriate behaviour and maintain hygiene and cleanliness in and around their surroundings to prevent infection from spreading further.
“Although there has been a considerable decrease in Covid cases few past few day but the pandemic is still far from over. Therefore we can not lower the guard against virus and collectively we will definitely overcome it,” Iqbal Jan said.
“The Union Govt. led by Narendra Modi has taken a series of initiatives including availablity of all medical staff and facilities in hospitals and vaccination to deal with Covid but people have act responsibly and follow Covid protocol to defeat the virus,” Jan added.
The senior BJP leader said that Narendra Modi led government is committed to deal with Covid and other outbreak.
