65-yr-old man’s body found in Qazigund village

Qazigund: The body of a 65-year-old man was found under mysterious circumstances in Ladijan-Nussu area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a male body was spotted in the paddy field by some passersby. Subsequently, the police was informed which reached the spot soon and took the corpse into possession.

The body was identified as Ghulam Muhammad Ganie (65), son of Ghulam Qadir Ganie of Nussu Qazigund.

“He has a head injury. Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of death,” official said.
