One among two brother dies in hospital after assaulted by unknown men in Srinagar outskirts

Srinagar: Among the two brothers who were assaulted by unknown men in Srinagar outskirts died in the hospital on Friday.

  Police had registered a case after unknown men attacked two brothers in Dhanihama Hazratbal area of Srinagar outskirts on December 18.

   The duo was shifted to hospital where one among them identified as Showkat Ahmad Akhoon, son of Ghulam Qadir Akhoon succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS hospital today.

  Another one is under-going treatment in the same hospital.

  A police official said that an FIR stands registered against unknown persons and speedy investigation is underway.
