The officer said they are investigating who floated false information with regard to belittling honour of slain officer.

The police officer said that the wreath laying ceremony concluded at 7 pm in Srinagar and besides poor weather conditions, flying of chopper was not possible. They further said that native village of slain officer Basantgarh in Udhampur is a remote place with no helipad and it would have delayed the last rites
The police officer said that they are trying to ascertain the source of the false information giver “who is trying to undermine the honour attained and received by the officer who made a supreme sacrifice”.
