Locals hail District Administration
Ganderbal, Nov 12, 2017:- In order to resolve people’s grievance at their doorsteps District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today held public Darbar at Gund Tehsil under the banner “Aap Ki Sarkar Aap Ki Dwar”. A huge gathering of locals participated in this Public Grievance Camp.
The Darbar was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Additional District Development Commissioner, N.A Baba, S.D.M Kangan, CEO Sonamarg Development Authority, CPO Ganderbal, Exen R&B, I&FC, PDD, District Horticulture Officer, ARTO, DSWO, DFO Sindh and other officers from police and civil administration.
Locals apprised officers regarding Public grievances being confronted by them and officers heard them patiently and then responded to all the grievances and queries of the local masses. Public grievances were mainly related to road connectivities, restoration/renovation and regulation of water supplies, renovation and maintenance of Power Supply, health Care, transportation facilities, irrigation facilities, winter stocking of food grains in snow bound areas, land acquisition issues, land compensation issues, demand for employment as non-skilled workers by locals in Z-Morh Tunnel Project and other civic amenities
While assuring a playground for Gund Tehsil, the DDC called for identification of the land for this purpose. The DDC on the occasion stressed upon the officers to provide basic facilities to the people of Gund Tehsil. He said that District administration is committed to provide every facility to the people of the district. DDC said that full support will be provided to the unemployed youth of the area for promoting their welfare. DDC said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and they should come forward and take the benefits of the developmental programme and schemes. The DDC assured the people of the area that their problems will be solved at an earliest and directed the concerned officers to furnish the action taken report within a week.
Responding to the power supply complaints, DDC apprised people that 70 lacs of CDF funds for improvement of HT< at critical spots already indentified in Kangan Constituency has been released. This shall be in addition to the routine schemes which are carried by PDD department like transmission and distribution, replacement of barbed wire schemes etc. People were also assured about the shifting of HT and LT lines which hover as a major threat for school building and the students of Government High School Sumbal. Further Executive Engineer PDD appraised the darbar that during last six months 125 poles and 25 kilometers of ACSR conductor has been replaced at the required locations for overall improvement of LT/HT network.
People also appreciated the efforts of District administration in holding first of its kind, pubic darbar in this Gund area. Later, DDC Ganderbal thanked the locals for playing a very significant role not only in providing a safe environment in the entire Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra 2017 but also in providing physical support to the pilgrims to undertake the difficult journey to the Holy Cave.
