Directed officers to achieve the targets within stipulated time
Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today convened a meeting to review progress on various water supply schemes taken by Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency.
The meeting was attended by SE PHE irrigation Budgam, SE PHE Mechanical circle North/South Kashmir, Executive Engineer PHE civil Division Chadoora, Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical rural division Srinagar, AEE PHE ground water, AEE PHE Mechanical division Sub Division Budgam, AEE PHE Civil Sub division Chadoora, AEE PHE civil Sub division Chrar-e-Sharief and JE mechanical ground water Budgam.
During the meeting, the Minister had a detailed review of various schemes being stated by PHE in Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency.
During the meeting, the Minister was informed that work on Shah Mohalla Dangarpora, New Colony Nowpora, Hanjura to Tulwat and Zoohama water supply schemes are nearer to its completion and the water supply schemes would be completed next year.
The Minister was also informed that the completion of these water supply schemes would provide drinking water supply to more than 40 villages of the Chrar-e-Sharief constituency.
The PHE officials also informed the Minister that water supply scheme phase 2nd of Chrar-e-Sharief, water supply scheme Pakerpora, water supply scheme Sheikhpora- Putlab and Harddalwan schemes would also been completed soon.
Threadbare discussion was held on these schemes and the Minister directed that a DPR of Production Well for Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency should also be prepared.
The Minister directed the officers to achieve the targets within a stipulated time period and make full use of available resources so that drinking water is made available to the people.
The Minister asked the functionaries to put in their best to maintain a regular supply of water to everyone in the constituency.
Hanjura said that priority should be given to those schemes and projects which are held up and require less funding for completion so that people can avail their benefits and prompt public delivery system is maintained.
