Chairman, District Health Society (Deputy Commissioner) Rajouri has suspended the selection process initiated by Health Department for selection of 33 Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW) after an enquiry committee found glaring irregularities and tempering in the records.
The 6 member inquiry committee headed by Addl. Deputy Commissioner in its report found that selection record has been tempered in NHM Section by insertion of new answer-sheets due to unsafe custody and other serious irregularities.
The selection process carried in the month of January 2017 came under scanner after some NHM officials circulated a fake list of selectees. Subsequently enquiry was ordered in June 2017 and the committee filed its report after completing the probe.
The inquiry committee revealed that a large scale tempering has been done in the records after retirement of then Chief Medical Officer.
Meanwhile, the selection process has been suspended on the basis of findings of enquiry committee, while Police authorities have been asked to initiate criminal investigation and take legal action against the accused officials.
The staff of NHM associated with the selection process has been debarred from all further recruitment / selection process and administrative assignments. It has also been ordered to shift the NHM section from CMO office to District Collectorate.
Selection process will be carried out afresh and only those candidates who had applied earlier will be eligible to appear irrespective of disqualification on account of age achieved thereafter.
Health department has been directed to initiate and complete the selection process within a period of one month.
