Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh took on Modi Govt with regard to failure of Union Govt to deal with border firing.
Speaking before huge rally on the zero line on International Border, former minister Manjit Singh said that the Govt has failed to deal with present situation on the border which has compelled residents to abandon their houses.
“Sitting in AC rooms, you cannot judge what the situation border residents have been facing. The Govt must come on the ground and live with the Pak firing victims, ” said Manjit Singh.
The people have lost their houses while the govt has failed to chalk out strategy to deal with situation, he added.
He further said that Modi Govt not only failed in India but with regard to foreign policy.
“Weak foreign policies of Union Govt lead to heated borders where innocent people facing failure of the govt. There was a need to end border tension with dialogue or One to one fight with the enemy if she (Pakistan) fails to understand,” he mentioned.
Manjit Singh said border people have been left to suffering due to poor Govt in centre and they should resign in the interest of India because they have failed to save lives of the people and defend the country.
He said that the government should give five marla piece of land at the safer places to the border residents so that they can live their during the days of hostility. He appealed the Government to five befitting reply to Pakistan and silence their guns. He said that there should be a comprehensive plan for the border residents in view of present crises.
